Job Description

Job Overview: We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Social Media Assistant to support our growing online presence. In this role, you will help execute social media strategies, engage with our online community, create content, and monitor trends to increase brand visibility and audience engagement across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter). Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies and campaigns. Create, schedule, and publish content across all social media platforms. Monitor, respond to, and engage with comments and direct messages in a timely manner. Conduct research on current social media trends, competitor activity, and industry updates. Help track and report on performance metrics (engagement, reach, traffic, etc.). Maintain a content calendar and ensure consistent brand messaging and tone. Support the creation of visuals, captions, and multimedia assets in collaboration with the design team. Assist in running paid social media ads (if applicable). Collaborate with influencers, partners, or other departments as needed. Requirements: Proven experience managing or supporting social media accounts (personal, academic, or professional). Solid understanding of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut). Basic knowledge of social media scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, Hootsuite). Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Enthusiasm for social media, trends, and digital marketing. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with analytics tools (Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.). Knowledge of SEO principles related to social content. Photography or video editing experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
