Job Description

The role is to provide daily monitoring of data and company software to ensure that all depot and drivers are fully inducted, demonstrating the required company processes, values, and behaviours. You will be responsible for supporting any required corrective action and providing daily support to drivers and at the depot.
Your support will ensure that our direct customers and consignees receive exceptional service.

Deliverables:

• Completing a daily debrief ensuring any service issues or failures are actioned and recorded appropriately.
• Ensuring all drivers are using DriverX App with non-compliance investigated thoroughly and escalated to Depot Manager.
• Ensuring all drivers complete DriverX App syncing to force POD information from devices.
• Ensure all drivers are following procedure to unload from vehicles any exception freight and depot scan, support corrective action to minimise reoccurring exceptions.
• Ensuring all driver related non-delivery issues reported via Head Office have a full investigation undertaken with the driver outcome/actions recorded.
• Utilising company software to monitor driver performance against planned routes and support drivers with any routing enquiries throughout the day.
• Liaise with contractors regarding driver-related performance issues and complaints.
• Support Supervisor / Depot Manager with Priority freight ensuring routing is arranged in readiness for same day / following day together (in line with customer requirements) with any additional depot administration.
• Ensure depot freight has been rotated and is all scanned at the depot, by depot team or visibility
• Ensure all Supplier collections are arranged and completed daily in line with requirements (scanning received freight for for visibilty on day of collection)
• Ensure all new drivers are onboarded effectively, including completion of thorough inductions covering company policies, operational procedures, and expected behaviours.
• Conduct and document all necessary driver checks (e.g., licence verification, right to work, vehicle condition) prior to commencement of duties.
• Undertake & Maintain accurate records of induction and Driver onboarding activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
• Monitor ongoing compliance and refresher training needs, escalating any concerns to the Depot Manager.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years working in a traffic office or equivalent industry experience
• Proven ability to understand and identify customer requirements
• Experienced in collaborating across teams
• Work effectively under pressure with ability to prioritise workloads with speed and accuracy
• Demonstrable ability to support business in driving values and behaviours.
• You should be able to work effectively as an individual, as well as part of the wider team • Strong & Effective communicator with active listening skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Self-starter who is highly organised, with a proactive approach and can do’ attitude to problem solving
• Continuous improvement mind set, adaptable to change and willing to embrace new ideas and processes
• Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work across multiple tasks within required deadlines.
