Salary: $74,000 $78,000 (commensurate with experience)

Atrium Sydney Pty Ltd is a vibrant eatery located in the heart of Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport. Renowned for its iconic coffee, fresh bakery goods, and a diverse menu featuring modern Australian and Italian cuisine, Atrium Sydney has been operating for over two years. Although a relatively new addition, it forms part of our well-established hospitality group, which has been successfully operating in the industry for over a decade.
As part of our continued business growth and expansion, we are now looking for a passionate and experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a cook who can:
• Thoroughly inspect food items to ensure quality and freshness
• Prepare, season, and cook food in line with weekly menu updates
• Monitor and regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment
• Prepare and cook meals and baked goods in a commercial kitchen setting
• Apply appropriate seasoning to a variety of cuisines during all cooking stages
• Portion and plate food attractively with appropriate garnishes, sauces, and gravies
• Store food safely in accordance with temperature control guidelines
• Prepare meals to accommodate dietary requirements while preventing cross-contamination
• Assist with planning menus and estimating food quantities as needed
• Train and supervise kitchen apprentices or junior staff when required

Essential Criteria:
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
• Relevant qualifications including:
o Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
o Diploma in Hospitality Management
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• Ability to work full-time in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
• Must be available to work from our commercial kitchen located at Sydney Airport
