Supervisor, Paralegals, and Legal Secretaries Hybrid. For highly regarded law firm. This role oversees Paralegals and Legal Secretaries.The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow; and makes day-to-day staffing decisions and manages workload and performance. *2-3 days a week in the Chicago office.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision/Staffing of Paralegals and Legal Secretaries. Supervise staff, proofread and cite checking of legal and thought leadership documents. Works with HR to recruit/hire applicants.Makes recommendations for promotion, disciplinary action, and termination. Identifies and implements training programs. Evaluates employee performance and resolves issues. Assists in analyzing and reporting on workload, productivity, and ability to meet ongoing needs. Mentors and supports the team. Tracks billable and non-billable time, expenses, and other administrative tasks. Develops and delivers training on time entry best practices and provides specific matter time entry training reflecting client billing requirements. Monitors and reviews time entries and pre-bills on behalf of Client Team Leads and identifies and corrects issues with time entries.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred.Prior supervisory experience.Litigation experience required.7+ years of experience in a litigation related role supervising support staff.Experience training and mentoring.Superior client service, integrity, and commitment to efficiency.Strong writing/proofreading skills.Prior docketing software experience, preferably CompuLaw. Flexibility to travel.
Salary Range:$120k to 140k
