Dynamic individuals with 4-6 years supervisory experience that wish to provide a management function.
Provide professional and technical expertise in the design and process control of the company. You will be involved in stress analysis, buckling analysis and design against fatigue for high strength rail applications. This will require you to carry out in-depth calculations.
An understanding of components and structures under both static and dynamic loading is essential. Will be capable of creating engineering drawings using AutoCAD/ Key Creator. You will also require a good mechanical design ability with an emphasis on machine and industrial design.
Co-ordinate design activities with other engineering disciplines
Sign off design documents and obtain approval.
Liaise with clients, engineers and other contractors regarding process control problems
Liaise with vendors for engineering requirements
Comply with appropriate legislative and regulatory standards and procedures,
Be involved in investigations pertaining to production downtime
Play a crucial role in compliance with quality as per our ISO 9001 listing on manufacturing,
as well as compliance with environmental issues as per the ISO 14001 listing
(Plant optimization includes equipment such as Hydraulic Presses, Gas-fired Furnaces, a
variety of production machines including Vertical Boring Mills, specialized Ring mills and
Manage various projects related to plant expansion, additions and replacements
Mechanical degree or equivalent qualification, as a minimum, with a sound theoretical knowledge of engineering principles, design concepts
Computer literacy at a design level is essential
Practical experience in a manufacturing environment is a given
